This discussion group is for heretic Christians. It is also for orthodox Christians interested in what the heretics think or for non-Christians who feel they might have something to pitch into a conversation.
Heretics have controversial and sometimes unique notions, so discussion may be lively, scholarly, or bizarre. Please, because of that, be respectful of varying viewpoints, recognise you are presenting your opinions and others have a right to their own, and be polite to fellow members. There will be no crusades, burnings at the stake, or inquisitions in this group.
I am sure members will occasionally want to vent their frustration with orthodox Christianity. That's fine but let's recall we are all trying to do the best we can and no one can say what is true with absolute certainty. Not the orthodox and not the heretics. I hope the one thing we can all agree on is that Jesus said we should love our brothers as ourselves, and he had an very broad definition of "brother."
I hope the group has intelligent discussions of interesting theological viewpoints, with a friendly tone. Debates are fine if conducted with decorum but, since debates are adversarial by their nature, conversations are even better.
If this sounds interesting to you and you have something to say on the subject of Christianity, its theology, its history, or heresy, you are more than welcome. Blessed be.
